Overview of the Alliance

SSNB, a member of the NTT DOCOMO Group, signed a strategic partnership agreement with Monex and NTT DOCOMO, Inc. (“NTT DOCOMO”) in December 2025. Under this agreement, the three companies are leveraging their respective services and expertise to deliver a new financial experience that supports customers across all aspects of their lives and to create a new standard in digital finance.

As part of this collaboration, customers of SSNB will now be guided—via the bank’s website—to open a comprehensive securities trading account with Monex. Once opened, customers gain access to a wide range of Monex products and services, including investment trusts, equities, and ETFs.

This initiative is a key component of the broader group collaboration aimed at meeting the evolving needs of both banks’ and securities customers. Preparations are underway to introduce additional integrated services around August 2026, including simultaneous bank–securities account opening, a seamless funds sweep service, and preferential programs jointly offered by the three companies. Joint promotional campaigns are also planned.

SSNB has expanded its service lineup through its digital banking platform—such as foreign currency deposits and robo‑advisory services—and the addition of Monex’s product lineup will further enhance customer options, providing new opportunities for asset management.

Monex, the only securities company within the DOCOMO Group, expects this alliance to further strengthen its customer base. By leveraging its extensive product offering, Monex aims to support the asset building and wealth management needs of a broader range of individual investors.
